Any Recommendations for replacing YouTube Editor?

Any Recommendations for replacing YouTube Editor?

With the YouTube Video Editor being retired on Sept.20, 2017 can anyone recommend a replacement that meets the following criteria?

1). Must be FREE
2). Must work on Chromebooks/Chromeboxes

Any help appreciated.

  1. According to https://www.iskysoft.com/video-editing/free-video-editing-software-for-chromebook.html, stupeflix would even work for Chromebooks. I know you have talked about that video editor before, correct? Or am I cheerfully thinking of another one you have mentioned before?

You are correct that I have been playing with Stupeflix. I'm curious what others have been finding to fill the upcoming void.

Thanks for the link - I'll check it out!

  4. Thanks Richard Clarkson for confirming.

And whoops, that I did not follow your proper train of thought, Andrew Hatchett, but glad the link can be of some use to you. I will say the YouTube one is on that list (and as you said that is retiring) so the list could be potentially out of date or not properly correct.

  5. The Filmora editor you have to download 1 for windows and 1 for mac. the download is free but it costs you to use it.

Thanks - I hadn't gotten around to looking at that one yet ... and now I don't have to! :)

  7. Looks like Stupeflix is kinda popular...100+videos made with it were uploaded to YT in the last 24 hours. :)

  8. Andrew Hatchett I decided to pay for WeVideo, so that doesn't answer your question. But so far I'm happy with it. The editing options are much better than the YouTube Editor, and there is integration with Google Drive, which is excellent.
