I've also tried it and you're right Andrew - it does work (a lot better than Takeout btw). I've been using the Friends+Me service for a long time, enabling me to auto-publish G+ posts to several other services (Fb, LinkedIn, Twitter for me). However, there's no way to auto-publish to Fb any longer I believe.
