GREAT posting Andrew Hatchett ; your question resonates. As you know (because our Dreaming With Entrepreneurs in Google+" Community is one of the 73 Communities on your "list"), I had been producing weekly Community Meetings--always inviting our Members to "come inside" the HOA. Our mission is one of Small Business Collaboration---and these Community HOA's are the vehicle to make it happen! By the way, I will be having a Community Meeting this weekend to highlight our new website and our new "Video Book" being released this week. Thank you for this posting, Andrew.
ReplyDeleteGoogle+ Communities are helping for new event and total communities based information
ReplyDeleteAs you know Andrew Hatchett I use Events within my Kraafters Kommunity to bring the community together in different ways.
ReplyDeleteOur weekly shows, which are for the public to view, are held on the Kraaft Shaak website and therefore do not require the use of events in the G+ environment.
When we do an event on G+ for the community, it is to FIRST inform them. SECOND allow them an opportunity to add to their calendar, ask questions and build excitement. THIRD keep it private -(Kraafters Kommunity members only)
The three events we have regularly that for community only -
Kraaft It Together an all day hangout - once a month - open house style, where you can come and go and hangout with other Kraafters.
Kaards By Kraafters a once a month a group of dedicated card makers gather to create cards for charitable purposes. They sit in a hangout and chat about the charity they have chosen, create cards for them and then send them off to the blessed recipients.
Open The Box an impromptu gathering of whomever can join live to see what kinds of goodies are new to the store...opening a box or two each month...feels like Christmas all year long!!
Great thing to observe dear friend!!
