Sorry to take this long to respond to your mail. We were working on some bug fixes and update release related with YouTube custom Live Event.

Yes it is possible. All your Chat Comments is saved by default on our server.
We have updated the website with info for how to use UnifiedChat for YouTube custom Live Event.

Also we have highlighted the point that default YouTube live chat is not persistent. Using our chat will give you persistent storage of all the data. As long as You have the share link you used during broadcast you can access chat history along with recorded video any time. Let me know if something still feels unclear. I would suggest try out a test live event with the steps mentioned in above URL.

So the comments are saved - but on their servers and not on the YT video.
